Steve Keller grew up in Wilmington, NC and was saved at 9 years old.  He was called to preach at 12 years old and baptized in the Holy Spirit during College where he received a BS in Psychology from Appalachian State University.  Jane and Steve have been married since 1990 and have 5 children; Harrison, Maddie, Ellie, Lucy and Lydia. A few recent highlights of their journey together include: 5 amazing years together in New England where Steve attended Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary near Boston, planting a church in rural North Carolina and now coming to Charlotte to be a part of what God is doing here at and through St. Giles.  Steve’s ministry focus is to: proclaim Christ to the least, the lost and those who are spiritually hungry; urge the church to build the kingdom through genuine relationships; empower & encourage people to be involved in  ministry; constantly seek God for a clear vision & then impart it to the church; and remain a student, a seeker, and an authentic follower of Christ.  Steve’s heart is to: engage in evangelism that flows out of the fullness of God’s love & interpersonal relationships;  shepherd a church that is attentive to the voice and Spirit of God; and to be a part of a church that is seeking to be multi-ethnic.  Steve enjoys his family, is a marathon runner, loves to travel and be outdoors, enjoys classic literature and loves laughter and conversation over a meal.
